£25,000 – £39,000 pro rata
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and friendly firm. Our modern approach and clear advice are appreciated by our clients and the recommendations that we receive have led to an expanding work load.
We now require a Records Co-ordinator to join the firm. The main duties will include:
- Reviewing communications received to identify deadlines and inputting them into our IP management software (Equinox);
- Ensuring that all deadlines and tasks across the firm are completed on time;
- Processing centralised email inboxes to ensure that emails are directed to the correct department or person; and
- Managing renewals.
You will possess an in-depth knowledge of patent formalities. You will also be able to demonstrate a very high attention to detail in identifying and docketing due dates to a level that is commensurate with the importance of this role. Although the role will primarily be docketing patent due dates, some familiarity with trademark and design docketing would be an advantage but is not critical as training can be provided.
It is expected that the candidate will have the creativity and ambition to develop this role as the firm grows and the ability to propose refinements and improvements to our current systems.
The candidate is expected to have passed or commit to passing the Advanced Patent Paralegal Course.
Although homeworking/flexible working arrangements are available, it is expected that the candidate will need to be in the office for a proportion of their working week.
The role is part time and ideally around 25 hours per week. It would be an advantage if these hours could be split over each day of the week so the records duties can be completed each working day.
Salary is in the range of £25,000 to £39,000 pro rata depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days holiday per year (rising by one additional day each year of service to a maximum of 30 days), private healthcare, pension contribution, death in service benefit and discretionary bonus.
