Sam joined Script IP in 2025 as part of the Physics and Engineering team.
Sam has experience helping SMEs and individual inventors obtain patent protection for a broad range of technologies. Sam has regularly prosecuted patents in the UK and Europe, as well as further afield such as in the USA, Canada, China, Korea, India, Australia, and New Zealand.
Sam began his career in the IP profession as a Patent Examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO). His work involved handling patent applications relating to the physical design of vehicle components, as well as vehicle control systems. Sam was responsible for processing all applications relating to the conjoint control of vehicle sub-systems.
As part of Sam’s final year project at the University of Exeter, he researched optimising strategies for Fused Deposition Modelling, with a focus on how they could be applied to manufacturing as well as prototyping.
Sam qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2025.
